Oil pressure connector
« on: February 10, 2016, 12:47:00 PM »
I bought my e36 with the oil pressure connector broken off, i have a question before i solder a new one on. There is only one wire coming out of the broken connector but the new pigtail i bought has 2 wires coming from the connector? (Carquest BWD Connector 28419A) Is what i bought.

I'd use it as-is, just splice the single wire. That plug is a spare part for a lot of different components on our cars. I believe it's the same as a fuel injector pigtail. Be sure to get the correct side though...that's a directional plug. That dumb switch is the same on most modern BMWs. It grounds through the switch body when the oil pressure is under 7psi IIRC.
