So after finding out my crazy idle was from leaking crankcase breathing leaks I decided to order every hose from autohausaz and replace them all including coolant lines. What an intricate setup under there. Took four hours including removing the TB, upper and lower intake to get to all the hoses. I also ordered the dreaded plastic dist. connector w/OEM BMW O-ring since I was already in there. The only issues I had were getting the IAC valve hooked back up as it's seriously tight fit with rubber hoses and it being a bit chilly and the hose that connects under the intake to the dist block under the TB was about an inch too short so had to cut up an old hose and reuse one of the old connectors. Also ordered and replaced plugs, wires and short fuel lines under the intake and car is idling like a champ again. Good for another ~400k miles, right?!
Yeah, I could have gone the 'mess under the intake' delete route but I like keeping things original.
