OEM clock unit.
« on: July 25, 2012, 07:01:01 PM »
Hi everyone. I recently purchased a '91 318is and looking at picture online, I noticed that there was an option for an anologue clock just above the center console. Mine does not nor did it ever have one. But I would like to install one as I am very fond of the workings of a time piece. Anyway, is this even possible, and if so, where would everyone suggest I try to find one? OEM.com doesn't have the part, so I assume the dealer won't either.

They are a nice little accessory.  Euro e30's had them stock IIRC.  There is usually one or two on ebay.co.uk and ebay.co.de

I bought an older round one that was seized up.  I'll post details if I get it working.  VDO also installed similar pieces in M-B and Porsche, some are collector's pieces and very expensive indeed.
