Changed crankshaft position sensor, now no-start?
« on: April 06, 2012, 07:00:28 PM »
I've been chasing down a problem these last few months that has not been letting my car rev past 3000 RPM. So in an effort to remedy the situation, I went in to change my crankshaft sensor.

Changed it yesterday, and now the car won't start.

Part number: 0 261 210 047

Any help?

Best way to swap crankshaft position sensor? (CPS)

Is it possible you bought a faulty CPS?  It has happened in the past more than once.  Unplug the new CPS & check the resistance (no need to remove it, yet), it should be 500 ohm +/-50.  It definitely should not be in the 1k ohm range as the cam sensor is.
