Windshield washer tee issues
« on: January 16, 2012, 05:21:42 PM »
Checked on my windshield washer today after having plugged a leaking fluid container.  Turns out I have a hole in the washer tee between the two nozzles where the water is shooting out.  Is this supposed to happen?  The hole looks like it's designed to be there and there's a second hole on the opposite side of it, so I was thinking this was a failsafe of sorts, but wanted to get an opinion here before trying to change it out.  Should I change the tee or is this a sign of a problem elsewhere?

ihave the same issue.  It just squirts out the bottom of the tee.  I plan on taking the tubes loose to make sure they are not clogged or something, then buying a new tee.  maybe this is some sort of blow out valve or something.

It's a pressure relief valve in case your washers get clogged.  I had the same problem... I just replaced the valve with a regular tee.  It won't protect the pump if my washers get clogged and keep trying to use the pump though, so I'll have to be careful.
