the e30 m42?

i just checked and e36 m42s are the same but i dont remember if i got it out of an m42 or an m44 damn it i have to search for my old sprockets and check if they are the same...
 the m44 has different part numbers though
but wouldnt it be the same?

E30 ones are adjustable; idk if the e36 ones are. The only other thing I can think of that would have changed would have been the sensor pickup nubs for cam position

It appears that M44 sprockets will physically fit on the M42 cams, but the M44s do lack the nub/pickups for the cam position sensor.  In other words, the M44 sprockets will not work with the M42 engine.

E36 M42's are adjustable too.
