I've only managed to cross out one thing...

-I painted the rings around the smiley's black to match the grill, it came out    pretty good for a 15min job.

+1 on pics of the laminx.

I've been wrestling with a leak in the trunk - turns out that there is an 'inside' and an 'outside' on the trunk seal....    But, it did lead me to discover that my rear window is *still* leaking slightly.

Long story short, my back window exploded while driving down the road with the defroster on, so I had a new window put in. Tiny leak since, which I thought I had fixed last year.  Turns out not. :(

So, now I am going to break down and replace the seal on the rear window.  Not looking forward to it, and wondering where I picked up the karmic debt that would cause me to find this AFTER a beautiful summer, when the weather has turned cold and wet and windy....   :)

check my member profile, I updated pics and my list some.  Don't worry I still plan to have the turbo on this year.  I know I've been saying its almost on for a bit now but there have been tons of crazy things happening lately in my life that I don't have control over so sadly the turbo project was on the back burner for a bit.  Its back on the heat though.  I am also tossing around ideas about the kit with another m42er.  Its sooo close.....bahhhh

1. You can get any fabric dye like Dupli-Color or SEMS. Pics attached at bottom(excuse the poor camera phone pics).
2. No issues with horn or signals if you have smaller hands. If you have larger hands and the signals bother you, you will have to retrofit the older stalks so that it is positioned back further from your hands. I personally like the closer stalks since they are closer and more convenient for me.

Thanks but it's definitely a 5 footer(ok maybe 3 footer) right now. I plan on doing a repaint and addressing all the dings and nicks next spring or summer.

Got my new car after my M40 was written off - a diamond swartz 318iS. Love the new m42 over teh m40.

Done so far:
New fuel pump
Laminx covers (although not as cool as the roundel ones)
M42 front badge
13 button obc

Planning to go through and upgrade all of the suspension soon, as well as add some comforts - power windows, foglights, etc and i've got a pair of cloth recaros that just need a retrim now...
