E-Bay chip
« on: May 21, 2011, 07:59:12 AM »
Last year I bought an E-Bay chip "A BMW Performance" #990 ECU 92-94 "Innovativeautosports.com.

When I installed it on my 1993 318is the performance improvement was very noticeable. Unfortunately, the check engine light would not go off. I sent it back & got annother. Same thing happened. Since I don't want to run with the check engine light on, I never used it. The seller asured me they have sold many of these with out my problem. Since, they did replace it once, I believe them.
Maybe it will work for somebody else with the same ECU number. If anybody wants it, I will mail it to them. If it works, they can send me $25.00....if it does not they can mail it back. E-MAIL me off site.
Too bad...because it made a good improvement on performance...it also raised the limiter to 6900 RPM (middle grade gas needed)

The problem is checksum routine not being corrected, Any company selling cheap chips are selling copy's and don't even know how to edit the code inside the chip

Are you saying that the chip is not any good? If it is not then I am going to dispose of it.
This particular seller sells a bunch of chips. Check his site.
