my 1991 e30 318is engine seemed to be running ok. Out of curiosity, i did a stomp test got 1244/ cps, i dissconnected battery then reconnected did stomp test again got 1444. The question being , does dissconecting battery actualy reset the coputer???

yes it does. Should at least be 30 minutes but not sure the actual time.

tks for response, i read that you can also hold down the gas pedal for 10 seconds to reset. after you 1000 reading. I tried this method, cannot get it to reset.

Never heard of the gas pedal. Not sure how that would do it either.
