heater control panel

i have a heater control panel that has the temp marking in the temp dial ie 83 78 deg etc was wondering what car this normally would have came out of ive tried to upload pic but keeps failing thanks

Not to give you a hard time, but some punctuation would help as I had to read that 5 times just to understand.

But to answer your question, it is just from an older model- I personally don't think it is a big deal.

The way the heater valve works is that every 20 degrees the knob is turned, the heater valve opens more.
