hi everyone just got a small problem. my M42 makes a ticking sound then goes away and come back.its been intermittent. what do you guys think i can be?

hydraulic lifters clogged still not an expert these engines but ive this prob at present too i flushed engine twice and now problem is gone win:-)

+1 for the lifters and it can also be the fuel injectors ticking.

i dont think its the injectors. it will tick then it will go away then come back. how would i go about solving the problem?
