Replacement Radiator Hoses
« on: May 03, 2010, 04:34:43 PM »
Hello all!  I am looking for replacement radiator hoses, the upper and lower specifically.  Local shops dont even carry the lower and offer flexible ones for the upper.  Is this just a dealer part?  Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about the 3 coming out of the radiator? (1 on top, 2 below) I got those same day through a mechanic for around $25 each. Try a different shop. Ya its bit pricey but what are you going to do. I was thinking about getting a clear one as the upper hose for the novelty of being able to see the fluid. Maybe not the smartest idea in this california heat considering I took out my clutch fan and didn't replace it with anything yet. But then a hose is a hose right? Doesn't matter if it comes from Home Depot or BMW

Maybe I should make an alternate DIY to deleting the thottle body heater plate (why not replace everything with see-thru hoses). If Turner motorsports starts carrying shit like that I bet you'll see it on cars all over, such is the intelligence & originality of the typical owners. Recently talked to some more e30 muppets converting their tan interior to black. I've just about had it, I'm really starting to get fed up with all the nonsense. Such irrelevant shit. Will they be thinking about their interior when they're on their death bed? It's not a hobby its an addiction, a form of mental illness. This kind of car culture is dehumanizing, it must be because I take it so personal. It's not like I care about them, it's their life. But the path they "choose" to take has an effect on all of us. An army of these consuming humanoids running around. How many hundreds of miles do these dicks drive a day. I wonder if a single meaningful thought ever comes up. Where does all that time go when they're piloting the worlds fastest slow car day after day. What is it worth? I couldn't take a nap today, too many trucks driving around. It's a residential neighborhood but among it an endless stream of UPS, FEDEX, DHL. How much shit can you fit in your house??? How fast can you throw it away. And how come every e30 driver I see is white. And young. I'm white too but it's not the same. My name isn't Preston or Jason.

'Hi, I just bought this car 5 months ago, but now it defines me. I'm 19 years old. Last year I was a skater, this year I've got a grenade decal on my trunk. I walk 40 steps a day, to and from my E30. I got the same haircut as my idol, Eminem. When not driving my E30 while blasting Linkin Park, buying parts for my e30, or thinking about driving my E30, my hobbies include standing around my E30 smoking a cigarette and trying to make my E30 look as trashy as possible. When I'm at home I'm usually browsing bimmerforums or dtmpower. I keep my engine bay meticulously clean. Of course my passenger seats are covered in fastfood wrappers. It's all in good fun of course. So is hating on non bmw drivers. Life is too short not to spend it being a conforming nonconformist. That's why I'm running a straight pipe. Go tell Obama! It's all the dam illegals on the road ' ...something like that

although those hoses aren't on pelican they're far from rare
