Hello Folks
My e36 has been converted to run on lpg ( propane ). The car starts on petrol and switches over to the lpg when warm. It runs perfectly on petrol but stutters as if misfiring on the lpg when asked to accelerate heavily after being on light load.
The lpg is even more demanding of a good spark than petrol so the first suspect is ignition.
The coils are all bar one original bmw from 1992 they are marked 6 92 and the car has done 119,000. The other coil is 10 years old
Is there an age or mileage where the coils tend to break down ?
For those not in the UK and not familiar with the economics of this conversion LPG is half the price of Petrol at $4 rather than $8 US per US gallon
thanks for any help
