Interior whining noise
« on: February 27, 2010, 10:59:45 PM »
Hey guys, I noticed that for a while I've had a faint whining sound in the interior of the car when I'm idling and not moving. I can't hear it otherwise. I can't seem to hear it from the outside of the car either or under the hood. Any ideas? No running issues whatsoever other than my small idling problems (mentioned in my other thread in this forum).

Thanks!

maybe it's your fuel pump dying. pull off the rear seat and open the right hand side cover. if the sound is louder, it's your fuel pump. If you haven't replaced your fuel filter recently, do it asap as a clogged filter puts an extra load on the pump and it tends to wear it out prematurely.
