Difference between coupe and four (4) door E36 318is? Is it suspension?

Hi all,

I'm looking at upgrading from my E30 318is to an E36 318is. I was really only looking for a coupe, but I have found a nice 1997 E36 318is four door.

What are the differences between the coupe and four door versions of the E36 318is (apart from the number of doors!)? Some one tells me there may be differences in the suspension - is this true??

Advice appreciated.

I have been told its a swap that will not work but if you use the suspension from a compact its a strait swap:confused:
