Tranny Upgrade Options ?
« on: August 10, 2009, 07:23:21 AM »
Well I took the boosted e36 318 out to the track lastnight for the first time and on the first run of the night I blew the tranny lost 2nd gear. So now I am wondering what I should do for a upgrade ?? Will a M3 tranny bolt up to the M42 ? will I have to change the driveshaft ?? what other options are there ?

Thanks Rob

Go getrag 225 - M3:-) as I did... You need m20 tranny, and You have to reweld the housing, shorten Your driveshaft and put it in Your car ;) It is not a black magic but is quite hard to achieve...
