Removal of lower intake manifold
« on: July 28, 2006, 02:36:49 PM »
Tried to search and I must ask the question...

I was borrowing my friend's E36 bentley but ran into some trouble pulling the lower manifold.

I removed all the bolts that hold the manifold to the head, then the two brackets on the bottom and the small bracket on the right side if your standing on the driver side of the car.

But I noticed this bracket between the airbox and the lower manifold that seems to have a big bolt below it that is still in place. I removed the nut up top that is attached to the lower intake manifold but it wont budge as there is no leverage to twist the manifold out.

Is it ok to remove this bracket or is it a part of the left motor mount or something?
