springs pads
« on: July 12, 2009, 12:40:54 PM »
I was thinking of removing the front springs pads, and perhaps the rear to.

I know some people have done this before, but what are the negatives of this, or are there any

The spring wont "walk" out of its notch up front, will it?

Also the rears i could pop out no problem I assume as well?

and response appreciated...

There will be more friction between the spring and strut and so you'll have to see which will eat through which: the spring through the strut or the strut the spring. Those pads are there for a reason. There are two or three thicknesses which you can order. OEM. ;)
