interior air duct fin slipped out - help

Hi fellas,
during a cleanup process i accidently clipped out the lower fin on the mid section air vent of my air vent system.
The car is a e36 318IS.
Can anyone tell me if the pt must be removed to bend the fin into the guidance?I cant get it back in again without breaking it.
How is the whole vent it screwed or clipped insid the dashboard?
