M44 T3 test fit. Pics and questions inside.
« on: February 10, 2009, 03:16:15 PM »
Hi, here are pics of my test fit of my T3 60 trim on my E36 M44.
Manifold is Neukin for internal wg.

I test fitted it two weeks ago, but I lost the tap for the pan at the time so I had to refit the car N/A :D

But here are pictures about it.

It's a tight fit everywhere especially with the A/C compressor fitted and I hoped it was higher than how it fits in reality... while I was there I made a downpipe+decat pipe (in 2.25" size) that goes to the stock muffler, but now I changed plans for the exhaust for something bigger.

So here is the question. Do you think that the spot I circled in the last picture will be a good spot for the return? oil flange in the turbo seems only 1-2cm over the ideal line of the oil pan gasket...
I hope that it will not smoke:confused:

you should be ok if you look at the pics of danny707's build or tglaze their returns are all in the lower part of the pan where there is oil even with the engine running. i dont know if it will smoke or not. you should be ok as long as your return line is 2 times the size of your feed or bigger.
