Well I have decided I am well overdue to present myself to the outside world so here goes.

I have follwed BMWs for some years and have owned various ones over the past 10 years. my all time fav was a 77 E12 with all Alpina stuff and a 3.5ltr M30. I did a full resto on it and rebuilt it to run in tarmac rallies.
I ended up selling it and the new owner now runs it in those events.

My next Bimmer was an E36 Compact 318Ti Sport. It was great fun and boy could you fit some gear in it. My wife and travelled 5500 Km on 10 days to go to a wedding in it and it was a great cruiser on the back roads.

My "new" beast is a 1991 "IS" (hence being here) in Alpine White. 3rd owner and I bought it from a guy in the BMW club here in NSW. It is all original and although I think the body has been flow coated and there is a spot of rust about 1/4inch round in the left rear window frame the rest is straight.

So far I have bought a "proper" gear knob for it ( as the PO has a crap Momo billet alloy one on it) and I had to replace the RSM as they were shot.

Future work is pretty much keeping it standard with all rubbers and shocks and mounts replaced underneath, timing chain, tensioner and oil pump, and a little tidying up. I will be tracking the car later at club supersprints but as it is a daily driver I have decided to keep it stock.

These are some photos I took today at work.

Hey welcome man!  Awesome 318iS!  Car looks great and I love the idea to retain the original look to the E30, nice choice!
