Wow, love the rims, and everything elase for that matter. Looks like fun.

How do you like the Magnaflow exhaust?

I absolutely hate it, however I think the rasp that it has wouldn't be so bad if I would have left the resonator on. It sounds pretty good if there was no rasp. I am probably just going to save my pennies and buy a Supersprint.

Very tasteful.

I love it.

Oh and buy the Supersprint. I know exactly where you're coming from man, the raspy-ness drove me insane!

Thanks! I am a fan of high quality stuff so I was really disappointed with the Magnaflow since it looks like a nice piece. I guess I will just collect the cash until I can get a Supersprint...good to hear a supporter coming from the same situation as myself! I have a question though, does it come with a resonator built in?

Question that applies to the OP and others: why do you guys opt to take out the resonators?

I kept mine and I am satisfied with my magnaflow. As per the "sound" of our cars, have resonator deletes been recommended somewhere and you guys are following only to regret or it's just on a whim?

to be honest I really don't know why I removed my resonator. Maybe because my friend with his M5 did it with no ill effects and I thought I could beat the system... even though his car has twice as many cylinders and has newer exhaust technology. Well, I guess the only way to find out was to remove it myself, so I learned the hard way...

Yeah that sucks.

FWIW all the resonator deletes I have heard that sound fabulous were on inline - 6 and v8 cars.

It's not easy to get a simple inexpensive solution for a good sounding m42 but hopefully others will appreciate such feedback and use it.

Yup, its built right into the system. Comes right after the cat.

Agreed, despite being a part-time mechanic, I can still use the experience I am gaining on this car and I have already learned a huge amount since I bought this car and did all of the work myself.

Very cool. I look forward to this upgrade on my car! Unless someone can lead me to a reputable maker of resonators... so far I have found some from Moroso and Vibrant Performance. Are these any good?

I have some Bosal exhaust that the previous owner installed. It doesn't have so much of a resonator as a 4-inch pipe where the resonator used to be. One of these days I will have the money lying around to buy a supersprint.

BTW the cheapest place to get these new that I have seen is BMP design, $550. If anyone finds a place that is cheaper, let me know.
