Where to purchase original style fuses/relays?
« on: July 31, 2008, 09:25:00 AM »
Other than going to a junkyard and taking original style fuses & relays from a junked BMW, where can one buy these style of fuses NEW and possibly in bulk?

I know parts stores do offer up a variety of fuses - but they are all the plastic sealed type of fuse, not like the ones found in the BMW fuse boxes like on our 318's.

Is there an online site that you can buy bulk or package quantity of a certain fuse?

What about the relays, where would you buy a new relay as opposed to getting old used relays from a junker?

The stealer may be the only place for OEM fuses. I've never bought any, I just grab them at the junkyard. An old fuse works as well as a new fuse if the contacts aren't dicked up. The relays look like standard Bosch relays sold today at most auto parts stores. The color may not be the same, but you could transfer the cover from the old relay.
