New paint job!
« on: August 12, 2008, 02:22:40 PM »
Sup guys! I'm in the process of removing all my dents and repainting the whole car. I just finished dent removal and need to decide on paint color. I was thinking about doing a black base with a blue candycoat pearlescent finish. Anyone have any good ideas or have any good pics of other interesting colors? Any input is appreciated

So you are going with a unique color? I fell in love with diamondschwartz the first time i sprayed a fresh coat.

Google image search: Satin Black Pearl. A lexus should pop up. That's the paint job I'm considering. If I don't get that, then I'm going with Jet Black with Frost Blue Pearl. My friend works at a body shop and they use PPG. The pearl is simply amazing. If you apply the pearl with the clear coat, the pearl will be wayyy more noticeable. Post pics when you are done!!

I am considering this color but I also want to paint some intetrior parts to match the outside. If I go with the flat outside, glossy inside would look terrible. Especially since it's a convertible. It can also get expensive. Luckily, a friend of mine who also owns an e-36 and owned a e-30 before, does automotive painting. His uncle does body work.
I want a deeeeeeeeep black look on my car. So I'll piggy back on this forum and ask, any suggestions on the black color besides Jet Black?

Don't paint it a non-E30 colour.

I can recommend Diamond Black, Macoa Blue or Lazer Mettalic Blue.

Gunmetal Grey is also nice.
