hey everyone i am new to this forum, i am also on bimmer forums as well as projecttechnik(alberta bimmer forum) and i just wanted to say hi and i am glad to see that there is just an m42 forum for us fuel efficient 4 bangers.

yeah i noticed that, i looked some 6cyl but with some of the issue i heard that were associated with that specific engine i  opted for the 4 and plus i was looking for an economical daily driver at the time(student) and this was it plus cheaper on insurance as well.i don't drive it as much now though as i am modding it and my work bought me a gas guzzling suv so it sits pretty much until the weekends when a stretch her legs out. check out the projecttechnik forum there is a guy from calgary who supercharged his 318ti, it's pretty sweet.
