just got my magnaflow
« on: July 10, 2008, 01:24:22 AM »
Alright so I just received my Magnaflow muffler/tip and have a question about installation.  On the last day of school I weighed my car and pulled the muffler at the cat (2600lbs dry).  I've been running like that for almost 4 weeks now and am starting to get tired of the massive vibrations and how it's too loud.

So my question is how to install the muffler.  If I just cut the stock muffler off and weld the Magnaflow on will the two straps that went around the stocker work on the MF?  Just wondering how you guys did it...

Thanks to Brad at http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/7567/ticevalleysiggv7.jpg">Shutterflick.com for editing the sig.

I had to shorten the straps. You could also weld/bolt a peice of flat stock across the top portion of the straps to keep the muffler at the same height and leave the straps intact.
