Which color should I chose to paint my 1991 BMW 318is that is currently red ?

Red, Unless you want to strip out everything, and do a FULL respray, you'd be better off painting it red, or trading for a color you like. It just looks funky when you pop the hood and the engine bay is red, but the outside is green or blue.

Well except for maybe white or blue or black

Seriously- one of the reasons you see so many red ones is because as a small car red picks up the size and shape.  The only downside is you do need to keep it waxed and wax it more often than some other colours - ok - ALL other colours.

id redo the paint in the same shade..thats only if it NEEDED it..
if it didnt need it, i go buy a mark d and some mustang injectors :]
