Hey guys what’s up? My name is Joe. aka el gringo. Thanks to having a Mexican friend I adopted the nickname due to the one to many Joe's around. Nice to be here, its alot better than BF.c for sure. Im on r3v, e30tech, B.E.N, and more im sure.

The e30: 1991 318is coupe, M42B18 5-spd, Diamantschwarz-metallic.

I bought this car in early/mid march of 2008. It was going to be a parts car until I got on craigslist and saw it and talked the guy till I got it. It has its issues: thermostat, dings, rock chips, fading/oxidation, dashboard cracks, exhaust sounds like shit, windshield needs replacing, and suspension needs help. It’s great for a 91, but compared to my last e30 (85 325e), it’s golden.

I have a wish-list as what I would like to do to the car. This list is not complete, nor is it detailed. I’m still observing options and setups throughout the e30 community. I want something that will be great and secksy, but not high end showroom style.

Exhaust:
New resonator
New Dynamax ST: $46
Full 2.5” piping

Suspension:
IE stage 3 springs: $295.00
IE adjustable Sway Bars 25mm/22mm: $440.00
IE front Strut Brace: $120.00
IE Rear Shock Tower Brace: $90.00
IE Urethane Rear Subframe Mounts: $90
Koni adjustables: $680
Sportmaxx 002's (16x8 0 offset): $315

Exterior:
Is lip
15% window tint
Rear plate filler
JCW 5-3/4" headlights (smoked): $68
Blacked out grill
Eyebrows

Body Work:
Shaved antenna and key holes
Rolled fenders
Whole repaint
Smooth the front valance

Interior:
Momo steering wheel w/removable adapter
Smaller shift knob
Z3 Short shifter
Hard wired radar detector
Full system (amp, 1 sub, tweeters, higher quality speakers)
Full alarm

Engine:
Some sort of motor swap (S5x, M5x, LSx)
megasquirt

Hmm. my plans already seem expensive.
