First of all, I am putting my new motor together, and I am doing a number of mods to it. I am leaving the newer pulleys on it, and adding on to the
One I am doing 100% is the COP mod, I already have the drawing and I can mill the thing asap - I will be getting the coils this weekend, so that will be that.
The next thing I need to do - the plastic waterpump pulley is sort of falling apart, so I would like to make another pulley on the lathe. In addition to that, I dont have the E36 power steering pump nor the pulley for that, so that will have to be machined as well.
This brings me to the first question: does anyone have any drawings/dimensions of a power steering pump pulley?
And has anyone tried to make mounts for the E30 power steering pump to the E36 motor alternator/PS pump mount? The drawings for that would also be VERY helpful.
Second question: Can I somehow swap the clutch from an E36/E34 AC compressor and fit it on an E30 compressor? cause my compressor is awesome, but the clutch will have to be off an E36 cause thats how the belts would work out.
And the final, so far -
I want to use a single mass flywheel, I want to keep the cost as low as possible and use the least amount of modifications possible - use the stock starter if possible. My budget is VERY low, I am cool with machining new stuff as that is free, but buying new things is a bit of a drag for me so far, as I wanted initially to just make this new engine work in my car and run well, but I want to do it perfectly, so I have all new gaskets, new hoses, etc.
I will also do the elimination of the water hoses throughout the engine mod, it seems like a cool one.
