Wish Bone
« on: February 27, 2008, 06:22:45 AM »
Before I proceed with my madness in creating another version of the "wishbone" I thought I would ask this question here and get some feedbeack since my madness of modifying things really don't have any data whether it will be functional or a good idea.

What would be the benefit if the "wishbone" Item 4 in the link below is modified with all attaching point are made of the material as the polyurethane bushing used on the the trailing arm and swaybar instead of the sealed grease pack joint system?

I need to replace my left wishbone and before I do buy one I decided to duplicate it with my own version with.

Are you referring to the ball joints?  They are solid steel with a rubber boot to keep dust out.  I don't think poly ball joints would go so well lol.

Now, if you are referring to the bushing that holds the rear end of the wishbone in place, numerous people will attest to the benefits of that, myself included.
