Is it true that an m50 turbo manifold will bolt up to an m42? Just need to lop off the last two pipes, right?

Why not just buy a m42 turbo manifold?

because theres an m50 turbo manifold I can get for 50$. even with modifications to it(which I can do myself), its a ton cheaper than 750 for the jon volk manifold.
