seems they use the same throttle body and by going from their flow bench testing the stock throttle body is adequate for our engines to 7000rpm at least.

It's for a five cylinder of 2.5 liters. They give the small plates size as 35 mm and the larger one as 52 mm. It's hard to tell if the OEM M42 TB is adequate without info on the sizes of the plates in the M42 TB.
Anyone know the M42 TB sizes?

As taken from from a Eurospec TB (I don't know if they are different) Pt No 17273459 cast on the body:

Small one 35.5mm (1.4inch)
Big one 55.6mm (2.2inch)

Looks to me like they are more than adequate in standard form

according to bm, standard is 35mm and 54mm.  I've thought of using a twin 50mm throttle or something along those lines, would prob fit quite easily onto our manifold and make a nice noise.

Yeah our TB probably flows enough as-is.  Still though, it just looks so damn nice all polished up like that!  If I was going to do that, I better have a plan for polishing the intake manifold insides up to like 3cm of the injection ports.
