Cars:  1991 BrilliantRot 318iS / 1991 Mazda Miata
Location: Warrenton, Mo. (halfway between St. Louis and Columbia)
Job: Independent Computer Consultant
Age: 33

Mods:
Cut airbox, free flowing muffler, Axxis Ultimate brake pads.

I was a certified auto tech (specializing in transmissions and alignment). I have been into cars most of my life. I went to tech school for auto repair and found I did not like the auto industry in that way.  I joined the Air Force where I worked F111's, and rebuilt F-16's. I served in Saudi Arabia for Operation Southern Watch, flew an F-16 and went faster than the speed of sound. I currently an a computer consultant/tech. I maintain several corporations systems/networks, and do home computer repair on the side. I also do web hosting. I am working on getting a computer store open by years end.

I am always working on something. I ride bmx (X-games type stuff, yes at my age), run a website dedicated to that (that is what this server is for), race Rc cars, drive cars fast, and build wild computers.

Current projects are:
Maintaining my other website
Renovating the kitchen (currently knocking out a wall, pond/lake this summer),
Building my workshop (neverending , see below),
Building a custom computer (watercooled, lights, paint, etc...)
My cars, currently converting my 91 Mazda Miata from auto to stick (Eventually planning to do a street rod/custom)

A shot of my shop. Bigger than it looks.

Any plans on the E30 or are you mainly focusing on the Miata?

That rig is off the hook. What are the specs?

Oh, forgot, the Bimmer has Axxis Ultimate brakes (killer pads).

Right now, the Miata has the focus as it is not running.

The Bimmer is done. Reason being is that I plan on selling/replacing it. I recently found what "may" be a twisted chassis on it. So no more money will be going into this one.

Currently the plan is fix the Miata, sell the Bimmer, replace Bimmer, sell Miata, start on a rod or custom. Anything pre 66' would be good. 50's Cad, 29 Ford Pickup or roadster, or a 40 Ford pickup is what I am mainly after. Although if I find something else of interest I may go for that, say an older Porsche 911 or Vette', Even been considering possibly buying a cheap beat up 325I and tossing in a twin turbo Toyota V8.

Just depends on what I can find.

Regardless, I plan on having an e30. If for no other reason than the fact that, of all the other cars I have ever driven, I always prefer/compare it to the Bimmer. I am scared if I sell it, that I will not find anything good enough to replace it.

Sheepdog, I'm 42 and still race BMX.  Not too much park or trails (no time).

If I acted my age I'd be old.:D

Nice e30.  Too bad about the chassis.  Mine is pretty much a twin of yours except for the drop.

Some shots of it at a meet in Kansas City alongside an e30 M3.

Made my car look good!

Thanks to Seeker and sparkchaser from Bimmerforums for taking the pics.

Worth the clicks.

More from the meet.
