Hey everyone, lovely forum here at M42.
First if I may say, I hope this isn't to long, but I've had a lot of work I've been doing before I wanted to post. Will add pics in a bit when I've completely finished.
I've been a member for a bit, though I've been in the back alleys just checking things out. I've been an M42 owner for a little over a year and after wrecking my first (Rednecks seems to despise european beauty), I decided (mainly from the amount of money I invested in the first car) to get another E30 318is. I'm trying to finish the front suspension now (having a wee bit-o-trouble with the control arms... by the way, if anyone has any experience with swapping control arms, please fell free to drop me a line... I need a little help), but have done a complete gutting.
The new baby of mine is Alpina White and yes it does show some age, but to be honest, it is in excellent shape for 188k. Hardly any corrosion spots. I started with the interior, I noticed that the seats and carpet from my red IS (black leatherette seats and charcoal carpet) would look rather nice instead of the cloth tan from the white car. So I decided on that firstly. Then after that I noticed that the dash was better from my red car as well. Swapped that. Now I'm on to the suspension. I've swapped the rears and dropped one of the fronts so far (it's definetly more than I bargained for, but I just have to be patient).
As I mentioned earlier, I will post some pics when I get finished. If anyone would like to see pics of the before and a few during pics of the swap, please let me know.
Oh, thought I would tell what goodies I have:
all around H&R/bilstein sport combo
Zimmerman cross drilled rotors
K&N filter
Sport pads
Thanks all.
