timing chain guide

When replacing the chain guides, the longest guide that goes up along the intake side is different. Perhaps it's revised is what I assumed, but does anyone know. oem.com shows that I have the correct part number, but in my experience such things are often wrong.

The upper right bolt hole is wider and has this fitting that screws in, I guess to adjust the position in and out, and then the same bolt that went in the old guide goes in, but I only get a couple threads and also the bolt head then may stick out too far. Maybe it's for the e36.

Anyways, thanks for the help, Roan.

realoem shows 2 bolts. 40 and 45 mm. It's probably been updated. Bolt #8 at the bottom of that rail is 40 mm. I'd try it and see if it fits.

Yeah I see, bolt #9 and washer #10 either are 40mm for use only with the guide ending in numbers 148, that says ended, doh, or 45mm for use only with guide ending in nubmers 470. So I hope Lowes is still open cause they got a killer isle with even fillister-head screws and all.

Thanks for helping, I think this bmw site is the most prompt though I've noticed you guys are all on each. Thanks again, Roan.
