Is that the original stock muffler or something else? It looks awful clean. Mine is rusrty and leaking and I'm looking for something new.

yeah its a cheap muffler shop job, cat back with a new resonater and OEM style muffler for $160. It works but I want something a little bit nicer.

Yeah they are pretty rare, the date stamp says 1987 and Ive never seen them before. It took a lot of digging to find out what they are.

Getting new bolts and nuts today.

i've seen them twice before, they're cool looking. Made in japan specifically for the e30. I heard rumors they were optional from the dealer there but i don't think thats right... how much do they weigh?

After breaking my only puller and 3 hours of trying to rig a new new one. I finally got the centering bearing out of the drive shaft by, thats right, a dremmel and a steady hand in only about 30 min.

ghey.. (the bolt was used for the final extraction)


good to go



In the end vibration is gone and it was a fun little project, it was hard to get youst to working on the floor again cause I always go to the shop to do work.
