Electric Fan Install (Thread #2)

Ok guys, i decided to go with the Flex-A-Lite universal from summit. the BimmerWorld was only 2150CFM, and this one is 2500 and cheaper.

So i decided that since i am getting a new car at the end of the month, and this car will only be for the track, i want to run the fan on a switch in the cockpit. I bought a 30A switch (the fan is only 17A) and am going to wire it into the dash(Next to hazard switch).  

I am a total noob when it comes to wiring and was wondering on the back of the switch it says Earth---Load---Supply

Now if i am under standing that correctly, The earth is the ground, the load would go to the fan, and the supply would go to the battery?

I want it to be set up so in between my runs i can turn off the car but keep the fan going.

Anyway out of the fan, there is two wires, a black and a blue. The black will be the ground and the blue is the power (correct?) and in the install bag there is a red wire that has a fuse and a long black wire.

For all you electrical geniuses tell me is this is correct.

ON THE FAN
-Take black wire from fan and ground it.
- Take Blue wire from fan and connect to the fused red wire and connect that to the Toggle switch in the car at the "Load" connection.

ON THE TOGGLE SWITCH
- Get 12ga or (?ga) wire and send from the "Supply" connection to the battery.
- Connect the red/blue wire to the "Load" connection
- Take a ?ga wire from the "Earth" connection and ground

Also I took out my A/C and all the components so is there any way that i can tap into the AUX pusher fan wires?

Any help would be appreciated.

ok it sounds like you have everything right. EXCEPT, (and this is very important) the fuse should go on the battery side of the switch. so there should be a wire going from the battery to the fuse then to the switch, and the from the switch to the power wire on the fan.

Did the fan come with instructions? it sounds to me that the black wire on the fan might be the power wire instead of the blue-because-there is a black wire on the fuse section (most electrical components are color-coded).....but i may be wrong, i would read the manual. Other than that everything else sounds fine, personally i would run a relay, but thats a bit cunfusing so i think you switch will work fine. have fun .

oh forgot to add: the switch you bought must have a light on it? correct? that is what the "earth" connection is for on the switch, its there to supply ground for the light so it turns on when you turn the switch on......an 118-22 gauge wire should do.

and it is possible to wire your fan up to the A/C aux fan wiring, but i do not have a wiring diagram with me here so it would be impossible for me to explain.

The fan cam with instructions that tell you how to mount it to the radiator..... but other than that there is nothing (except like 500 pamphlets that summit sent me)
 
The switch does have a light on it (amber to look stock) and to hopefully remind me that it is running. but i figure if i get out of the car with the car off and still hear something running (since fans are kind of loud) then ill just flick it off. I am not going to be driving it daily much longer so i don't care.  

I may eventually run a delay on the fan for like 5 min after the engine is off.
