E30 91 318is Turn signal Not shutting off... :(
« on: April 26, 2018, 09:07:40 PM »
So I did a little looking into this couldn't find anything, but Ill Try asking here. So anyway here's the problem... When I'm at a light or whatever and I'm turning I turn my signal on like any decent human being, My turn signal turns on good blinks and everything, however when I'm finished making my turn the signal doesn't automatically turn off (I have to manually do this and IK NBD Right? no it's like really annoying after every turn......) Is there anyone who knows how to fix this problem, I've had this sense I bought the car...

There's a tab that's integral with the body of the steering wheel that can break off. You'd probably need to replace the steering wheel.
There's a tab on the end of the turn signal stalk that engages the steering wheel tab.  This might be broken.

Either way take the steering wheel off and look.  Make sure you disconnect the battery before you remove the steering wheel and until the airbag is reconnected.  If  the battery is connected while the airbag is disconnect you will get an SRS error light that is very difficult to extinguish.
