I'm doing a standalone setup and am looking to make my own DIYBOB type adapter. I'm looking for an old unused or fried e30 m42 Ecu so I can take the plug in out of it. Something cheap would do best. I appreciate it!!

I have two. One is from an E30 M42, with a bad coil driver. The other one is from a later E36 M42, it's an EWS unit. Do you just need the case & plug? I'd like to attempt desoldering the coil driver transistors...if I mess it up would it still work for you?
