E85 Setup

Hey guys, I've read about the very good specs of Ethanol. Now I'm looking for a proper setup to tune my engine for that.
I'm not goinf to run a turbo this season, but planning to do so next year.

But now i wanna setup E85 Injection on my car, with all the plus it gives.

I need 30% more fill up to the cylinder, or more fuel pressure what will lead to dripping injectors.

So which injectors are the right ones for E85. Do i have to change anything else?

Please give me some infos on that.

you need injectors in the 300cc/min range and a better fuel pump; like a walbro 255l/h or a bosch 044.
then you will obviously need a tune.

Can you recommend some injectors? I found to different part numbers on the bosch list,for one, the production is discontinued and another one is hard to find.

But why i need to change the fuel pump if i stay a 3bar? Is the original pump not strong enough for 30% more value?

No, the OEM fuel pump cannot keep up with 30% more volume at 3bar!

Get some Bosch EV14 injectors in the lowest cc available. Very nice fuel atomisation and ethanol compatible.


Obviously tuning is the biggest issue so make sure you have a solution for that.

I'm playing around with WinOLS a long time, i have a 27Cxxx programmer also. So there shouldn't be a problem to find out something about tuning.

Even a friend of mine is doing professional tunes, so in the worst case he will make a chip for me.

I was looking for an ostrich, but only in the us i found some which will need too long to arrive here.

it's not a matter of pressure, it's about flow. to maintain 3bar with higher rating injectors you will need a higher flow from the pump...
