stock manifold adapter

So I was looking in the engine bay,
and I think it´s possible to make a semi sharp U turn after the header going below it possibly under the steering rack and come back up from there,
making a top mount, bracing it to the block of course,
I´m thinking "2.5 pipe after the header flange all the way to the turbo,

I know it´s a long way really, but all the pulses will have collected nicely and there should be no disturbance when entering the turbo,

If possible the pipe could come under the motor mount and above the subframe
and from there up,

Cutting the original manifold will not look nice as it seems it has to be shortened really well and some more added to it, wich will probably just end up just like a fresh one built from scratch,

Now if it´s possible I´m thinking how the hell I´d get a "3 trough there,
but I guess I need to visit the exhaust shop again and see what space there is to work with,

Any thougts?

It would definitely be a jungle in there like that.  I would be interested in seeing how it works out though...wanna cut up some cardboard tube & take some pics?

I´ll just take it to the exhaust shop and take a look under the car there.
and we´ll try and see if a "3 fits trough there ,

I find the M42 tilting alot to the pass side in my car, I´m using the M40 motor mount rubber, need to put the M42 ones back in

I love this idea and I'd love to see pics of a fit-test :)

wouldn't the length of the manifold cause some lag problems which outweigh the benefits of equal length?
