Are you referring to the plastic water pipe that sits under the intake manifold? Have you tried lubing the O-ring with some silicone dielectric grease before popping it in? Are you using a genuine OEM one, or the cheaper OE version?

I have not tried dielectric grease. I'm using the one from BluntTech. http://www.blunttech.com/item.wws?sku=W0133-1662171&itempk=327285&mfr=EZ&weight=0.15

The aftermarket part doesn't make a clean 90deg turn off the mount flange and never tightens up properly...then the o-ring tends to weep a bit. OEM BMW is the way to go on this one. Sucks that your car will be down for a few days, but see if Blunt will refund your money & get you the OEM piece.
