Quick Cam gear question
« on: May 05, 2013, 11:56:35 AM »
Well, everything came back from the machine shop mid last week, and I'm currently in the middle of putting all new timing components in. My question is with the cams at TDC (lobes on 1 facing, holding tool on squares), where should the timing pin on the cam gear be? Right now I have everything together and the pin is somewhat lined up with cam lobe. I have a feeling I have the gear incorrectly set referencing previous pictures of the engine.

Should the pin line up with the cam sensor on the case when at tdc?

Edit in: Sorry for the terrible picture, Its likely not much help

I was under the impression that my gears didn't have arrows, well I noticed them today when I went out. So now I've aligned the arrows to be pointing up. I think I've solved my own problem.  :P
