Now this is a solid Motor Mount!!
« on: November 24, 2012, 03:51:59 AM »
On my search (see my other posting http://www.m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16723 ) to an European supplier for solid motor mounts I came
Across Vibratechnics in the UK

Never heard from this company before but heard positive response on a VW forum I visit once in a while.

Since there was no Motor Mount for the M42 on their website, I emailed and asked if they were willing to make a set for me.
That seems to be no problem. I measured my broken urethane mounts and guess what?

In 2 Days I found these in My mailbox:

This is like a day and night difference with my previous urethane Motor Mounts.

They are almost to beautifull to put on the car....

so wait.....are these solid, or are they not solid. They look like a urethane mount inside a solid housing that reduces vibration. Right?

Hi irish44j, according to their website it is a natural rubber, you can read more
about it here http://www.vibra-technics.co.uk/about_us

It looks that they know what they are talking about
