Rally drivers and navigators use any kind of language that is most simple to use for them.
for example my dad used a mix of english and dutch when he was rallying with some former group a champions.
btw: you should listen to the notes of the navigator of Galli or Sordo (italian or spanish) ...that is very very hard to follow...they fire out the notes at almost machinegun speed

If you can follow the [general] english notes... then you should be able to decipher other languages with a bit of listning.
