info on performance parts
« on: September 28, 2012, 06:37:01 AM »
oh hello there.

I haven't been on here in years, but i now own an is!! an e30 no less!

anyways I've been doing some research into performance mods for it as i want to get some real power out of it.

i would like to make a high revving n/a rather than turbo or supercharging.

from what i can find vac Motorsports or metric mechanic are the best for this, and i really like the engines they build. i am a bmw mechanic so nothing on the m42 is to hard for me to work with, compared to those bastard n42's :) but i haven't ever dealt in hi end performance parts before neither have i built up an engine.

also im in Australia so i cant really send my motor to mm, id have to buy the bits and do it my self, so i was hoping for a few pointers

is there anything i should be weary of buying you beauty parts?
whos the best to get them off? vac, mm, or other?
are there any things i should know about getting them to aus?
has anyone in aus done this before? (i assume someone has)

that's all i can think of for now but any thing you think i missed id love to have your input!
