E36 Headlights

I failed inspection yesterday because of out tag lights & hazy headlight lenses. Last night, I changed tag bulbs & polished the headlight lenses. The last lens polishing only lasted (1) year. The car passed today.

Has anybody tried the high performance halogen headlight bulbs…like the Sylvania 9006su/bp? They plug right in & don’t need a ballast & are priced at around $35.00 a pair.

I had them once upon a time. Honestly I think its a waste, only because they still look yellowish like the normal halogen bulbs.. So if you just wanna pass inspection, than just get normal ones. Then later maybe upgrade the whole headlights later on with really nice ones. :)
