MegaSquirt on Supercharged M42

Hi,

I am on the way to supercharge my M42 on my E36. I installed recently a custom CarPC and I use to go offen to the track. The stock ECU can not give me the mesures I need to look to be sure that my car is not out of its limits like oil temperature-presure and gas presure.

I dont want to fill my car with gauges so I am wandering if the installation of MegasSquirt will help me to the part of engine managment and datalogging.

So my questions are:
1. Will MS help me with datalogging on my CarPC and will I be able to put the extra sensors which my car is missing?
2. Will it help in fuel management? Will the programmer, who is going to programm my ECU after the installation on th supercharger, be able to programm it?
3. Can it work togeather with the stock ECU or I have to put it away?

if you are installing megasquirt you will not need your ecu,
all the other stock things like oil and water temp can be displayed in megasquirt...
I am currently still building my eaton m45 318is e30....
having problems with the idling, too much air pressure while at idle, if i leave the standard breather pipes in the original positions air is pushed through the oil cap!
how is your install coming along??

Use a wideband O2 sensor for the tuning like Innovate or TechEdge.

IIRC you can use TunerStudio to get a decent rough tune & then fine-tune it later.
