WTT (GA): 89 325 Zinno Red Coupe
« on: May 20, 2011, 01:31:30 PM »
(Feeler)

I've got a baby on the way so I'm looking to see if there is any interest in trading my zinno 325i lightly modded coupe for a sedan.

The car's previous owner was an active duty Marine who kept it in storage when he was overseas. It's current owner (me) is in the Army and gets used for spirited daily driving. This has been the nicest E30, out of 5 previously, I've owned but is no means a show car. This car is a good solid platform for an enthusiast to take it to 100%.

My car:
new magnaflow cat dual 2" in/out, new IE performance wires/cap/rotor, Mobil1 10w30 synthetic oil changes, bosch oil filters, H&R sport springs, Bilstein Race shocks (corners absolutely flat, proven on Tail of the Dragon in TN), new tires on bottlecaps, K&N cone air intake with AFM adapter, US ellips headlights, DDM 5000k 55w low beam, DDM 3000k 35w fogs, healthy M20 engine, 5 speed trans, cold AC. Manual crank sun roof, all power options in working condition, except antenna doesn't raise/lower. NO RUST SOUTHERN CAR. Clean title in hand. Will upload pictures soon.

Tan non-sport interior is 8/10 only issue on the interior is small crack in dashboard. Exterior maybe 7.5/10 has minor dings and a cracked piece of bumper trim (have replacement but haven't installed) paint is in good shape maybe a buff and wax will restore it's shine, missing front lip, and front lower valence is faded.

Your car: rust free, reasonably straight body, passes emissions, MUST BE 5 SPEED, MUST BE SEDAN, working AC optional but must still have all AC components installed. Interested in E30s and E34s. Preference would be a 318i M42 sedan or 525i M50.

My apologies for the crappy cell phone camera pics. Let me know if you need any additional photos.

Oh yeah, CD player with iPod connectivity. Baby seat not included.

Sorry, your post was flagged moderated, so I approved it.  Welcome back to the 'club!

I went through the exact same thing you are (my babies are now eight and six, they stil fit in the car). I guess congratulations is what we should be saying...

You can't go wrong with a sedan, but they're pretty rare.  All the M42 sedans had a 5-speed.  None had power sunroofs.  None had cruise control.  No sport interior available.  All those problems can be easily fixed, I've done it.  I'd ditch the airbag wheel too.

Happily, they're worth less than the coupes.  I'll keep an eye out, but I'm on the other side of the country...

Thank you, Dave. I've got until October until the sedan is necessary but thought I'd get the ball rolling ahead of time.

It's been a long time since I posted here so I've got a link going on R3v where I spend most of my time. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=208974. There are pictures available now, but I'll also post them here.

My apologies for the crappy cell phone camera pics. Let me know if you need any additional photos.
