Any suggestions on where to go, what brands to avoid and parts places you trust?

Thanks

Rackdoctor is well liked for a whole refurbed rack, and of course now would be a great time to go to say a ZHP/Z3 or other faster ratio rack if you see any room for improvement vs. what you currently have.

As for tie rods I would get Lemfoerders or MOOG (if you can find them) and would not bother with Pex or Meyle. Definitely a higher price point, but well worth it as the current Lems have been removed several times and have stood up really well to daily driving.

I guess I should replace the hoses too.
I don't want/need to modify the steering as it's for my 17yr old son and honestly he'd probably whine about the steering feeling different.

Thanks

Well I have the pump, reservoir, cap with replaced o-ring, and both hoses which are also pretty new in case you are interested. I had my rack rebuilt thinking it was lifetime warranty as stated on reciept but only the parts were, so I lost the rack since I had the e36 one.
